We’re hiring - Join Skiguard
Help Skiguard grow in North America
Skiguard has been designing and developing premium rooftop cargo boxes since the 1980s. With a strong presence in Northern Europe, we are now focused on expanding our business across the United States and Canada.
We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated Business Development & Sales Manager to help drive that growth.
Your primary objective is simple: sell more Skiguard products and grow our dealer network.
You’ll be responsible for developing new dealership and retail partnerships, growing sales with existing partners, and identifying new opportunities for Skiguard throughout North America.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys sales, building relationships, cars, outdoor recreation, and the entrepreneurial environment of a growing company.
The Role
Business Development & Sales — Primary Focus
Identify, prospect, and establish relationships with new automotive dealerships, specialty retailers, and other potential sales partners.
Own the sales process from initial contact through dealer onboarding and ongoing account development.
Grow sales with existing dealers through regular communication, training, follow-up, and sales support.
Respond to customer inquiries, prepare quotes, and provide excellent follow-up.
Visit dealerships and attend automotive events, car shows, rallies, and other relevant events to generate awareness and sales opportunities.
Help develop regional sales strategies and track prospects, dealer performance, and sales activity.
Take ownership of sales targets and work proactively to achieve and exceed them.
Marketing & Brand Development
Marketing will support your primary goal of driving sales. You’ll help:
Grow Skiguard’s presence on Instagram and Facebook.
Create photos, short-form videos, product demonstrations, and educational content.
Develop sales materials and tools for dealers.
Coordinate photoshoots and support local and regional marketing activities.
Operations & Customer Support
As part of a small and growing company, you’ll occasionally assist with shipments, product preparation, customer installations, and maintaining our showroom and warehouse.
These responsibilities are secondary to the primary focus of the role: sales and business development.
What We’re Looking For
Required
Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or a related field.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer-service skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
Willingness to prospect, make sales calls, follow up, and actively pursue new business.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and regionally.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Strongly preferred:
Experience with automotive dealerships, specialty retail, premium automotive brands, or aftermarket products.
Knowledge of automotive enthusiast culture and/or existing industry relationships.
Experience with social media and content creation.
Ability to use basic hand tools.
A passion for cars, skiing, outdoor recreation, and premium products is a major plus—but the ability and desire to sell is what matters most.
Compensation & Opportunity
We believe in rewarding results. The position includes a competitive base wage plus uncapped commission and performance-based bonuses tied directly to sales and business growth.
Incentives may include commission on product sales, bonuses for developing productive new dealers, dealer sales milestones, and exceeding annual sales targets.
The position will initially be approximately 60–75%, with a clear opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the business expands and you demonstrate success.
You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with company leadership, influence how Skiguard grows in North America, and take on increasing responsibility as the business develops. For the right long-term contributor, there may also be potential for future profit sharing or ownership participation.
Who Will Succeed Here?
You enjoy winning business, building relationships, and creating opportunities.
You’re comfortable calling a dealership you’ve never spoken with, meeting new people, following up consistently, asking for the sale, and finding creative ways to get customers and dealers excited about Skiguard.
If you want a role where your individual effort has a direct and measurable impact on a growing company, we’d love to hear from you.
Please send your resume, cover letter, and any questions to info@skiguard.com.
